The Royal Thomian Cricket Match, renowned as the longest uninterrupted cricket series in the world, represents a tradition of sporting excellence and camaraderie. This historic encounter between Royal College Colombo and S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia has been a highlight in Sri Lanka's sporting calendar since its inception in 1879. Read article 

To honour this enduring legacy, the Alumni of both schools in Sydney, Australia, will come together to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of its annual festival of cricket here in NSW/ACT. This exciting event will take place on Sunday, 26th January 2025, coinciding with Australia Day, at Kareela Reserve, Doonside. As in the past the festival will feature three formats, the Open, Classics and the Vintage cricket games that capture the spirit of the original Royal-Thomian rivalry while fostering connections among alumni, friends, and families.

We warmly invite all members of the Alumni community, their families, and friends to join us for a day filled with cricket, fellowship, and nostalgia. Whether you are a cricket enthusiast or simply looking to soak in the festive atmosphere, this event promises to be a memorable celebration of tradition and unity.

The menu from Nadz Kitchen Food Truck will feature, Sri Lankan Snacks, Fried rice, Chicken kottu, Hot butter cuttlefish kottu, Veg kottu, Lamprais, Falooda, Iced coffee, Devilled Chicken bite, Hot butter cuttlefish bites……..

There will be a live Band blasting papare’ music’ and an exhibition of sarees and Sri Lankan apparel by Vashigari Emporium and more .....
